The flap has a decorative button on the front but it actually closes with a magnetic snap. I also included several fat quarters and these cute little bobbin wraps. You'll never have to worry about your bobbin thread unraveling.

The Feathered Nest Apron Swap
This is the apron I made for Kellie in Arizona. I used a pattern from Butterick. Since I haven't made any clothing in years I had forgotten how complicated Butterick likes to make their instructions. The ruffle along the bottom made an appearance after I could not understand their directions for attaching a straight border that came to a point at the center. I think the ruffle looks so much better, don't you?
And this is the apron I received from Kelli in Utah. Look familiar? That's because she used the same pattern, just a different view. It's the prettiest aqua, brown & white fabric with birds and flowers. Thank you Kelli, it's the cutest and I received several comments when I wore it during Bunco at my house last week. Unfortunately, it didn't help me win anything but everyone loved my brownies.

Hippity Hoppity....
Looks like someone around our house is waiting for the Easter bunny.
I'll be spending my Easter sewing. I'll have a new niece mid April, so a baby quilt needs to be made, I also have my first quarter Thimbleberries quilt to work on and finish my exchange gift for the Intercambio San Jordi hosted by Toni.
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!

Intercambio San Jordi
I like yellow, pink and white roses. I don't have a favorite color but I do lean towards shades of greens. My favorite craft is patchwork and I have recently rediscovered embroidery which I am enjoying a great deal.
Couldn't add pictures this morning...I guess Blogger is hungover from their trip to Austin for SXSW.

I'm Back!!!!!!!!
I've not had a computer to use for quite some time. I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday and great New Years.
Here's a sneak peek of what I've been working on lately.
It's a quilt for my husband. He has surgery on Feb. 12th and wants a quilt on his hospital bed. I'm not sure they'll let him, but I've got it done and sent overnight to the quilters. Now I'm just waiting for it to get back so I can put the binding on and washed before the big day.
Do you see my poor banged up thumb in the above picture? I was looking at doors in Lowe's and they all slammed back on my thumb...let me just say it hurt a lot. I might have even used a couple of not so ladylike words. That was over a month ago and I still have a long way to go before the hole in my nail is gone.
Well it looks like blogger isn't going to let me put any more pictures on tonight.

Deb
